Foldable Doorstop Fitting

Mount the doorstop vertically on the inside face of the door near the bottom edge, preferably on the handle side. Hold the fitting in position and ensure the sliding bolt points downward and reaches the floor when lowered. Once aligned correctly, mark the mounting holes on the door.

Drill pilot holes if needed, then place the doorstop back in position and secure it with screws through the mounting plate. Tighten firmly. Test the fitting by pushing the handle down so the bolt rests on the floor to hold the door open, and lifting the handle to release the door. Ensure it is installed on a solid part of the door and that the bolt sits flat on the floor for proper operation.
